IHS can assess dissolved or multiphase fate/transport of contaminants from source areas to receptors, in coordination with risk assessments. We are able to model the movement of heat (temperature variations) and variable density (i.e., salt water intrusion). We can also evaluate the performance of remedial designs and operation, such as pump & treat and insitu treatment.
We simulate fully integrated fate & transport within hydrologic systems using tools like DHI's MIKESHE/MIKE11 and ECOLAB. These tools are extremely powerful and offer un-paralled ability to fully assess contaminant movement from source areas to receptors, through complex pathways.
